12 to 14

In 12 days it will be 2014.

While its exciting to know it will be a new year and always chance to a new beginning, it is sad to realize that there were plenty of 2013's to do list that I did not have the chance to do.

But look, I am alive still and 2014 has 365 days for me to explore.

To reflect 2013, it was fun though not great but I am pretty happy to have lived through it.

2014, let's roll. :)

13.12.13

A month into the new job and I have to say, it's refreshingly good. Not so new task but given the flexibility, it's a challenge that I humbly accepted albeit the *eeeks!* moment.

Most times we say yes or no in a heartbeat without pausing to think. Like the previous post where I coaxed my group of diving friends to jump off the platform with me. The men (of course :)) said they will jump if I jump too. Always the case eh?

I made the jump after the 3 and I was freaking out inside but that feeling when you're up in the air is indescribable.

I hate heights but I love being up high looking down, feeling my knees goes jelly when I look down.

Don't let fear hold you back.

A little craziness

..won't hurt.
Insanity keeps you sane.
Some people cannot tell the difference between apathetic and not.giving.a.fuck.
Sarcasm and being polite.
Don't pretend to be with me because.
I love sitting in my corner rather than your face behind the screen. Stop wasting my time.
Keep your head held up high. Keep walking but go slow and feel the breeze on your skin.
Appreciate and enjoy the chaos.
Feeling whiney? Go face the wall. Noone wants to be down. Everyone is fighting a battle. Everyone is fighting the demon inside.
Life is too short my dear. To whine about your own fucking mistake.
Live. Let live. Forgive, but never forget.
Peace.love and empathy. Maybe.

I found my little spot

I found my little spot up in the deck. A bird's eye view of Mabul and without a doubt the best view.
Feeling a lil nostalgic sitting by a deck on my own. Not that its bad.
Good day of diving in Sipadan. 3 dives with "oh my *bleeps*" moments of happiness and fear.
Sure, I'm still not over my fear on sharks. Juveniles are cool. The bigger ones just freak.me.out.
Drop off diving and cavern was amazing. I'm still kicking myself that I didn't bring a camera.
That's one check on the bucket list and hopefully more of Sipadan.
Baby baby!

Week in picture

10 years ago, I would laugh and  say "yeah right..." if someone were to say "Tomorrow, we'll be able to blog directly from our mobile phone. Internet (data plan) on the go and no more need to drop by an internet cafe to check that important work e-mail."

Back then internet was mainly used for work/msn/yahoo messenger and such. Texting was the normal over mobile phone.

Now, Whatsapp/Twitter/Facebook/Instagram have taken a huge portion of our life that it's impossible to say you're lonely/alone unless you are without dataplan/net access. Lonely is also when you're out of battery life. Ha ha.

The joy of internet and the curse (never completely away from work).

I am counting days to chill out and cycling marathon training. Fun times ahead.

Until then :)
Coffee and Chicken sandwich at RM17. Okay-ish.
I need a mani-pedi done ASAP. However the carpet is nice, no?
Coffeehouse (lobby of a hotel really)
Got to play with this. Pretty neat phone unfortunately I don't see Google Play/Devs going crazy with apps on this one.
MANGO. I ♥ MNG

The Weekend

Today was one of those normal weekend. Early morning mass at 7.30am and followed by the favorite thing of the day, breakfast. A nice hearty breakfast that gets me going throughout the day.

Next in plan would be mountain biking (MTB) if its not raining. For the first time ever, I will be riding with a bigger group just for fun. Level 5 MTB riding up Inobong Powerstation/Lampaki trail. I think I've been on the bike like 5 times so far - in total. So my lame "performance" is expected as uphill cycling takes a lot of serious training before I can completely tackle the ride without passing out every 50m 30m. And today's ride was no difference.

Seeing others cycle up without a hiccup, I felt challenged. So I pushed myself up until I could hardly paddle and what more breathe. I love to compete with myself. :)

I made it up to where I last stopped. Panting and hell, all I had wanted was to sit down and not move. EVER.AGAIN.

Luckily, my buddy rider (a 13 year old) was too tired to continue. The Man and I decided it was time to turn back.

Hitting max speed of 56kmph downhill, The Man was surprised that I'm brave enough for so. I have no idea how he does 70kmph.

Back at home, which is not too far from the main road. We were looking out to see if the group have returned from cycling. At around 6.15pm, an ambulance drove by with the lights on but no siren.

I could feel the chills in me. I keep telling myself it's not one of the group. Just someone from the area - sick or something.

Unfortunately not.

A rider was having difficulty breathing and "his heart just stopped" said a friend.

In a heartbeat (no pun intended) you kind of ask yourself "is he breathing now?" A stupid question but you would want that.

I may not know you. I don't even know how you look like. I won't know your name until the next few days. Rest in eternal peace rider.

Amen.

Bip to beep to bleep

When you like
-make-up
-dresses
-dressing up
-high heels
-manicure & pedicure
-getting your hair done
-that handbag
-spa
-wine
And then you love
-grease on your fingers
-cargo pants
-boots
-fixing broken tap
-putting on your cycling helmet and go mountain biking
-fast cars and you're behind the wheel
-getting a good car wash
-good beer
-off-roading
-weight lifting
-scuba diving
You can't help but say, I love life.
Totally irrelevant but I just love list.
I love coffee most. :)

Malaysia GE13

Dear Prime Minister,

You're quite a talented man. I can list all your talents here but lets not as I am sure you know them. But never. Never have I seen such brave move done by anyone in such transparent way while the whole world is watching. While the whole nation is watching.

You are one brave, brave man.

Doesn't mean I like you though. Not one fucking bit.

You are pretty much a humiliation to Malaysian (the real Malaysians. Not of those project ic crap).

Your illusionist skills almost worked but you forgot your audience are not 5 year olds.

----------------
On another note, my fellow Malaysians have started finding ways to get the world attention on the "blackout" election. Hundreds have approached the US President, Barack Obama for help.
